Masonic Foundation

Arising from obscure origins in the late 16th to early 17th centruries and first
appearing in its modern form in 1717, Freemasonry is among the oldest and largest
fraternal organizations in the world and aims at nothing less than promoting the
happiness and prosperity of all mankind. The Masonic Foundation was established by
members of Freemasonry living in Japan and embodies their Masonic spirit and goals.

Since its establishement in 1955, the Masonic Foundation has committed itself to supporting people suffering from various diseases and handicaps as well as victims of natural disasters so that they regain their health and live life to the fullest of their abilities.

To accomplish the grand objectives of Freemasonry, we will conduct charitable
activities and contribute relief funds to victims of natural disasters, thus contributing
to the enhancement of the social welfare in our community.
